Quick answer

SEO service prices in Bangladesh typically range from ৳8,000 to ৳1,50,000+ per month in 2026. Most small and local businesses spend ৳15,000–৳40,000 per month; growth-stage brands spend ৳40,000–৳80,000; and enterprise or international campaigns usually start around ৳1,00,000 per month. A one-time technical SEO audit commonly costs ৳15,000–৳90,000.

If you have asked three SEO providers in Bangladesh for a quote, you may have received three completely different numbers.

One freelancer offers “full SEO” for ৳5,000 a month. A local agency asks for ৳30,000. A senior consultant quotes more than ৳1,00,000. Each uses the same words—keyword research, on-page SEO, technical SEO, content and backlinks—so why is the price gap so large?

The short answer is that “SEO” is not one fixed product. A local campaign for a single clinic in Rangpur is not the same job as ecommerce SEO for 10,000 products, and a Bangladeshi SaaS brand targeting the United States is not competing in the same market as a neighbourhood restaurant.

I have worked in SEO for more than seven years with 200+ brands across 30+ countries. This guide combines that delivery experience with public Bangladesh rate cards and global pricing studies to explain what SEO actually costs, where the money goes, and how to judge whether a quote is fair.

Key takeaways

  • SEO in Bangladesh usually costs ৳8,000–৳1,50,000+ per month in 2026.
  • The most realistic band for a small or local business is ৳15,000–৳40,000 per month.
  • Growth-stage, national and competitive ecommerce campaigns commonly require ৳40,000–৳1,50,000+ per month.
  • A one-time technical SEO audit generally costs ৳15,000–৳90,000, depending on site size and whether implementation is included.
  • Public Bangladesh starting prices vary widely: some providers advertise around ৳15,000, while established agencies start at ৳40,000 or more per month.
  • Ahrefs’ poll of 439 SEO providers found average monthly retainers of $3,209 for agencies, $3,250 for consultancies and $1,348.63 for freelancers.
  • A professional tool stack can cost more than a very cheap SEO package: Ahrefs Lite alone is listed at $129 per month.
  • Serious SEO usually needs 3–6 months for meaningful movement and 6–12 months for dependable ROI.
  • In 2026, many complete programmes also include AEO and GEO—work designed to earn visibility in Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini.

How this pricing guide was calculated

There is no official Bangladesh SEO price index. The ranges in this guide are an editorial benchmark, not a government tariff or a claim that every provider charges the same amount.

I compared publicly available Bangladesh pricing pages—including starting rates and ranges published by SEO Services Bangladesh, LutforPro, Bizcope, Algomindz and Sanzumia—with global benchmarks from Ahrefs, Backlinko, SE Ranking and GoodFirms.

Prices change, and public package pages do not reveal every custom quote. Treat the ranges below as a budgeting and proposal-comparison tool, then judge a real proposal by its scope, assigned hours, team seniority and expected business value.

How much does SEO cost in Bangladesh in 2026?

SEO services in Bangladesh cost roughly ৳8,000 to ৳1,50,000+ per month. The most common practical budget for a small business is ৳15,000–৳40,000 per month, while national, ecommerce and international campaigns cost more because they require more content, technical work, authority building and senior strategy.

Campaign tierMonthly priceApprox. USDBest fit
Starter / hyper-local৳8,000–৳15,000$65–$125One location, a small site and low local competition
Small business৳15,000–৳40,000$125–$330Local service company, clinic, restaurant or small ecommerce site
Growth৳40,000–৳80,000$330–$650Multi-city, national or moderately competitive campaign
Enterprise / national৳80,000–৳1,50,000+$650–$1,250+Large ecommerce, marketplace, publisher or regulated sector
International / export-facing৳1,20,000–৳6,00,000+$1,000–$5,000+Bangladesh-based company competing in the US, UK, EU, Australia or Gulf markets

The final row is important. A Dhaka SaaS company selling to US buyers is not competing against other Dhaka websites; it is competing against businesses that may spend $5,000–$20,000 per month on content, digital PR and technical SEO. Your office address does not set the required scope—the target SERP does.

One-time SEO service prices in Bangladesh

A monthly retainer is not always necessary. If the task has a clear finish line, a one-off project can be the more efficient option.

One-time serviceTypical price in BangladeshWhat should be included
Technical SEO audit৳15,000–৳90,000Crawl, indexation, Core Web Vitals, canonicals, schema and prioritised fixes
On-page SEO project৳10,000–৳50,000Keyword mapping, titles, headings, copy recommendations and internal links
Keyword research + topical map৳8,000–৳35,000Intent clusters, page map, priorities and content calendar
Google Business Profile setup৳5,000–৳20,000Categories, services, photos, NAP, tracking and optimisation
Website migration SEO৳25,000–৳1,50,000+Redirect map, staging checks, launch monitoring and recovery plan
SEO consultation৳1,700–৳6,000/hourSenior advice, diagnosis, training or a second opinion
SEO content৳1,500–৳6,000 per 1,000 wordsBrief, research, human editing, on-page optimisation and citations

These are market estimates rather than fixed rules. A 50-page WordPress audit and a 500,000-URL marketplace audit should never cost the same.

The five main SEO pricing models

SEO providers in Bangladesh usually charge through a monthly retainer, hourly rate, fixed project, performance agreement or a hybrid model. A monthly retainer is best for continuous growth; hourly and project pricing work better for tightly defined tasks.

Pricing modelTypical Bangladesh rangeBest useMain risk
Monthly retainer৳15,000–৳1,50,000+/monthContinuous technical, content and authority workA vague “full SEO” scope with no monthly priorities
Hourly consulting৳1,700–৳6,000/hourTraining, troubleshooting and second opinionsPaying for time without ownership of implementation
Project-based৳15,000–৳2,00,000+Audit, migration, research or defined optimisationFixes may not be implemented unless explicitly included
Performance-basedBase fee + bonusMature sites with clean conversion trackingProviders may chase easy, low-value keywords
Hybrid retainer + milestonesCustomEcommerce and lead-generation programmesThe bonus metric may reward rankings rather than revenue

Ahrefs found that monthly retainers are the most common SEO pricing model. That makes sense: rankings, content, technical health, links and conversions need continuous monitoring and iteration.

Do not buy SEO by “number of keywords.” One commercially valuable keyword may require more work than 50 low-competition phrases. Compare strategy, deliverables, hours, ownership and outcomes—not an arbitrary keyword count.

What does a monthly SEO package include?

A credible monthly SEO package should combine diagnosis, implementation, content, authority and measurement. The exact balance changes by month: fixing technical problems may dominate month one, while content and digital PR take more of the budget later.

A complete programme may include:

  • Technical SEO audit and implementation
  • Keyword research and search-intent mapping
  • On-page optimisation for service, category and product pages
  • Content briefs, writing, editing and publishing support
  • Internal linking and topical-cluster architecture
  • Google Business Profile and local citation management
  • Ethical link acquisition and digital PR
  • Structured data and schema markup
  • Core Web Vitals and crawl/indexation monitoring
  • GA4, Google Search Console and Looker Studio reporting
  • Conversion tracking and landing-page recommendations
  • AEO/GEO work for AI citations and Google AI Overviews

A monthly report alone is not a deliverable. It should document what was shipped, what changed, what the data means and what happens next.

Where a ৳30,000 monthly SEO retainer actually goes

A representative ৳30,000 retainer is usually divided among senior strategy, technical and on-page execution, content, authority work, software and reporting. If a proposal promises far more work than this budget can fund, ask which line is being removed—or where quality is being compromised.

Cost lineExample shareExample amountWhat it funds
Strategy and senior oversight20%৳6,000Roadmap, prioritisation and competitor analysis
Technical + on-page execution25%৳7,500Specialist implementation time
Content production25%৳7,500Articles, service-page copy or optimisation
Authority / outreach15%৳4,500Prospecting, digital PR and selected placements
Tools10%৳3,000Allocated share of research, crawl and tracking software
Reporting + account management5%৳1,500Analysis, communication and next-month planning

This is an illustrative allocation, not a universal agency margin sheet. Some campaigns should spend more on content; others need most of the first two months devoted to development and technical fixes. The useful question is: does the proposal show where the time and money will go?

Why very cheap SEO usually fails the maths

SEO at ৳5,000 per month is rarely a smaller version of a professional programme. It is usually a different product: automated audits, bulk directory links, lightly edited AI content and a ranking report without strategy or implementation.

Consider the fixed software cost. Ahrefs Lite is listed at $129/month, or roughly ৳15,700 at the working exchange rate used in this article. Comparable paid suites, content tools, crawlers and rank trackers add more. A provider can spread software across clients, but tools still consume part of every fee before research, writing, development or outreach begins.

Cheap SEO can be valid when the scope is genuinely small—for example, a one-time Google Business Profile setup or two hours of consulting. The problem begins when a provider promises all of the following for ৳5,000:

  • Technical fixes
  • Four “high-quality” articles
  • Dozens of backlinks
  • Daily rank tracking
  • Weekly reporting
  • Guaranteed first-page rankings

The labour and production cost do not fit the fee. Something must be automated, outsourced at the lowest possible rate, omitted or fabricated.

What you should receive at each budget level

৳8,000–৳15,000/month: starter or hyper-local SEO

Expect a narrow scope: Google Business Profile optimisation, basic keyword targeting, core on-page fixes, local citation checks and light monthly reporting. This can work for a single-location business in a less competitive area such as Rangpur, Saidpur or Bogura. It is not enough for a national term or a large ecommerce catalogue.

৳15,000–৳40,000/month: small-business SEO

This should cover proper keyword research, an initial technical audit, implementation of priority fixes, optimisation of commercial pages, internal links, 1–3 quality content assets per month and transparent Search Console/GA4 reporting. Local businesses may also receive review and Google Business Profile support.

৳40,000–৳80,000/month: growth SEO

At this level, expect a real content pipeline, active link acquisition or digital PR, category and collection optimisation, conversion recommendations and more senior strategy time. A national service brand or growing ecommerce business will often fit here.

৳80,000–৳1,50,000+/month: enterprise or highly competitive SEO

This budget may support log-file analysis, crawl-budget management, faceted-navigation controls, large-scale templates, multilingual SEO, custom dashboards and collaboration with product and engineering teams. The service should come from a team, not one generalist pretending to cover every discipline.

৳1,20,000+/month: international SEO from Bangladesh

An export-facing programme needs native-quality English content, links and mentions in the target country, international competitor research and often AEO/GEO coverage. The cost is higher because you are buying against a more expensive market—not because the provider is located abroad.

Bangladesh vs global SEO pricing

Bangladesh-based SEO is often significantly cheaper than US or UK delivery because labour costs differ. The research tools, search engines and core methods are largely the same; the cost of experienced human time is not.

Ahrefs’ survey of 439 providers reported these estimated averages:

Provider typeAverage monthly retainerAverage hourly rate
Agency$3,209$98.90
Consultancy$3,250$171.18
Freelancer$1,348.63$71.59

Ahrefs also found that local SEO averaged about $1,557 per month. GoodFirms’ 2026 benchmark places a typical global monthly retainer around $1,500–$5,000, local-business SEO around $500–$1,500, and enterprise SEO around $5,000–$15,000+.

Different studies report different numbers because they survey different markets and provider types. Backlinko and SE Ranking are useful comparisons, but no global average can price your website without knowing the scope.

Comparable serviceTypical Bangladesh bandCommon global band
Small-business monthly SEO৳15,000–৳40,000 ($125–$330)$500–$3,000+
Technical SEO audit৳15,000–৳90,000 ($125–$740)$1,000–$5,000+
Senior consultation৳1,700–৳6,000/hour ($14–$49)$75–$200+/hour
Competitive ecommerce SEO৳40,000–৳1,50,000+/month$2,500–$15,000+/month

A global benchmark is not proof that every Bangladeshi quote should be higher. It shows why choosing only by the lowest sticker price can be misleading—and why Bangladesh can offer strong value to international companies when senior delivery quality is verified.

AEO and GEO: the new 2026 cost in an SEO proposal

In 2026, a complete organic-search programme may include Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). These disciplines help a brand become a trusted source in Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini—not only rank in traditional search results.

GoodFirms’ 2026 pricing benchmark lists a GEO/AEO add-on at roughly $900+ per month globally. In Bangladesh, a focused add-on may cost around ৳10,000–৳30,000 per month, while advanced international tracking and entity work can cost more.

A legitimate AEO/GEO scope can include:

  • Entity and brand-consistency audits
  • Citation-friendly answer blocks and content restructuring
  • Organization, Person, Article, Product and FAQ schema
  • Original statistics and quotable expert commentary
  • `llms.txt` and AI-crawler accessibility checks
  • Third-party authority, mentions and source development
  • Prompt-set tracking across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and AI Overviews

AEO does not replace SEO. Strong crawlability, content quality, brand authority and third-party evidence remain the base layer. If someone sells “AI SEO” without explaining the deliverables and measurement method, ask for a clearer scope.

Freelancer vs agency vs in-house SEO in Bangladesh

The right provider depends on the complexity of the work and how much management you can supply internally. A senior freelancer may deliver more strategic attention than a low-tier agency, while an agency may be better when the programme needs writers, developers, outreach specialists and analytics support at the same time.

Delivery modelRealistic monthly costMain advantageMain risk
Junior freelancer৳5,000–৳15,000Low cost and flexibilityLimited strategy, tools or specialist depth
Senior freelancer / consultant৳25,000–৳80,000+Direct access to senior expertiseLimited capacity and single-person dependency
Bangladesh agency৳25,000–৳1,50,000+Team capacity across disciplinesSenior person may sell while juniors deliver
In-house specialistSalary + tools + managementFull focus and company knowledgeOne person rarely excels at technical, content and links
International agency$2,000–$10,000+/monthDeep specialisation and global networksOften unnecessary unless the target market is international

Do not compare an in-house salary with an agency fee without adding software, recruitment, training, management time and specialist support. A single employee may still need writers, developers, designers or digital PR help.

Seven factors that change an SEO quote

1. Keyword and SERP competition

Ranking a restaurant for a neighbourhood search is different from ranking a national insurance, finance, real-estate or SaaS term. Higher competition requires more content depth, links, trust signals and time.

2. Website size

A 20-page service website is easier to crawl and optimise than a store with 20,000 product and filter URLs. Page count affects audit time, templates, indexation and monitoring.

3. Technical debt

Slow pages, JavaScript rendering, duplicate URLs, broken canonicals, poor migrations and weak Core Web Vitals increase development and QA work. Technical SEO is often cheap to recommend but expensive to implement.

4. Content volume and quality

Content is one of the largest recurring costs. Expert-led finance or health content requires more research and review than a general local-business article. Human editing, images, data and subject-matter input all affect the fee.

5. Geographic and language scope

One city is cheaper than nationwide Bangladesh targeting. A bilingual Bangla-English programme needs distinct keyword research, content and quality control. International SEO adds localisation, target-country links and stronger competitors.

6. Link and authority requirements

A new site in a competitive sector needs credible mentions and backlinks. Genuine outreach, digital PR, research and editorial placement take time; bulk links are cheap precisely because no real audience or editorial judgment is involved.

7. Speed and internal support

A business that supplies expert interviews, approvals and development resources quickly will progress faster. If the SEO provider must also write, design, upload and implement every recommendation, the scope—and price—rises.

How long does SEO take to work in Bangladesh?

Most campaigns need 3–6 months for meaningful ranking and traffic movement and 6–12 months for reliable ROI. Technical fixes can improve crawling and indexation within weeks, while competitive commercial keywords usually need sustained content and authority growth.

PhaseTypical workWhat you may observe
Months 1–2Audit, analytics, technical fixes, keyword map and commercial-page optimisationCleaner indexation, improved page experience and early long-tail visibility
Months 3–4Publishing, internal links, local work and first authority campaignsRising impressions and more page-two/page-one entries
Months 5–8Consistent content, links and conversion improvementsMore first-page terms, qualified enquiries and non-brand traffic
Months 9–12Compounding authority and refinement of money pagesStronger top-three positions and measurable organic revenue

Timelines vary. A strong existing domain can move faster; a new domain, competitive niche, penalty or failed migration can take longer.

How to calculate whether an SEO package can pay for itself

The right budget is not “whatever competitors charge.” It is the amount that can create more gross profit than it costs within a reasonable timeframe.

Use this simple model:

*Required new customers = monthly SEO fee ÷ gross profit per customer*

Then:

*Required leads = required new customers ÷ close rate*

And:

*Required organic visits = required leads ÷ website conversion rate*

Example: a Dhaka dental clinic

Assume the clinic pays ৳30,000 per month, earns ৳3,500 gross profit per new patient, closes 30% of qualified enquiries, and converts 5% of organic visitors into enquiries.

  • Break-even patients: ৳30,000 ÷ ৳3,500 = 8.6, rounded to 9 patients
  • Required enquiries: 9 ÷ 0.30 = 30 enquiries
  • Required organic visits: 30 ÷ 0.05 = 600 visits per month

The decision question becomes clearer: can the campaign realistically generate 600 relevant organic visits and 30 qualified enquiries after the ramp-up period? If yes, the retainer may be commercially sound. If the required traffic is impossible, the budget, conversion rate or offer needs work.

E-E-A-T upgrade before publishing: add one permission-approved Google Search Console screenshot from a real project and explain the starting position, work completed, timeframe and measured outcome. A verifiable case example is stronger than an anonymous claim.

You can also link to relevant proof. For example, my case studies document a 400% organic-traffic increase for an Adelaide dance academy and a 75.9% increase in organic users for a Swiss portrait-painting brand.

Nine red flags in an SEO proposal

  1. Guaranteed #1 rankings. No provider controls Google, and guarantees often rely on low-volume keywords.
  2. A quote before any site or competitor review. A useful proposal should reflect your starting position.
  3. Hundreds of backlinks for a tiny fee. Bulk links usually come from irrelevant directories, networks or spam sites.
  4. No named deliverables. “Complete SEO” is a label, not a scope.
  5. No ownership of Analytics or Search Console. Your business should own its accounts and data.
  6. Reports without leads or conversion data. Rankings and traffic matter only when they support a business outcome.
  7. Unedited mass-produced content. Ask to review samples and the editorial process.
  8. A long lock-in with no fair exit clause. SEO needs time, but a contract should still define termination rights.
  9. No clarity about who does the work. Ask for the assigned strategist’s experience and account load.

Twelve questions to ask an SEO provider

  1. What will you deliver in months one, two and three?
  2. Who will execute the work, and what is their experience?
  3. What does your technical audit cover?
  4. Which recommendations will you implement, and which remain my responsibility?
  5. How many content assets are included, and who writes and reviews them?
  6. How do you earn links, citations and mentions?
  7. Which tools do you use?
  8. Will my company own GA4, Search Console, Business Profile and published content?
  9. Which KPIs will you report at 3, 6 and 12 months?
  10. Can you show a relevant, verifiable case study?
  11. Are AEO and GEO included or priced separately?
  12. What inputs and turnaround times do you need from my team?

A transparent provider should answer these in plain language. If the answers stay vague after a follow-up, the proposal is not ready to sign.

My SEO pricing, published openly

My website lists focused SEO retainers from $1,500 per month and one-time audits from $750. Larger growth programmes are scoped after a discovery call.

That rate reflects my typical work: senior-led SEO, technical strategy, content systems, authority building and AEO/GEO for brands competing in Bangladesh and international English-language markets.

It also means I am not the right fit for every budget. If you run one local business and can invest ৳15,000–৳40,000 per month, a capable Bangladesh-based specialist may offer better value than my full retainer. In that situation, you could:

  • Commission a one-time audit and use it as an implementation roadmap
  • Hire a local specialist whose scope matches your current stage
  • Fix the highest-priority issues using my free SEO audit
  • Move to a senior growth programme once the economics justify it

Publishing a price should help you qualify a provider—not pressure you into buying the wrong service.

Final verdict: what should you budget?

For most small businesses in Bangladesh, ৳15,000–৳40,000 per month is the realistic starting band for professional SEO. Choose ৳40,000–৳80,000 when the campaign is national, ecommerce-led or more competitive. Expect ৳1,00,000+ when the site is large, the niche is difficult, or the target customers are abroad.

The cheapest quote is not automatically a bargain, and the most expensive quote is not automatically the best. The fair quote is the one whose strategy, deliverables, assigned expertise, timeline and measurement plan you can clearly understand.

If you want a second opinion on a proposal—or a roadmap based on your website, competitors and commercial goals—tell me about your project. I will give you an honest answer about the scope you need and whether I am the right person to deliver it.

Frequently asked

How much does SEO cost per month in Bangladesh in 2026?

Most small and local businesses in Bangladesh spend ৳15,000–৳40,000 per month on SEO in 2026. Starter local packages may begin around ৳8,000, while national, ecommerce, enterprise and international campaigns range from ৳40,000 to ৳1,50,000+ per month.

What is the minimum realistic monthly SEO budget?

Around ৳15,000 per month is a practical starting point for ongoing professional work on a small site. Below that, narrow the scope to consulting, Google Business Profile optimisation or a one-time audit instead of expecting technical SEO, content and link acquisition together.

Is ৳5,000-per-month SEO worth it?

It can fund a very small, clearly defined task, but it cannot credibly fund a complete monthly programme. If a ৳5,000 package promises technical implementation, multiple articles, many backlinks and reporting, ask how many expert hours and production costs are actually included.

How much does a Bangladesh SEO freelancer charge?

Junior freelancers may charge ৳5,000–৳15,000 per month, while experienced freelancers and consultants commonly charge ৳25,000–৳80,000+ for defined ongoing scopes. Senior hourly consulting is roughly ৳1,700–৳6,000, depending on specialisation and market.

How much does local SEO cost in Bangladesh?

Local SEO usually costs ৳8,000–৳35,000 per month in Bangladesh. It may include Google Business Profile optimisation, local keyword and landing-page work, NAP consistency, citations, review systems and map-pack tracking. Multi-location businesses require a larger scope.

How much does ecommerce SEO cost in Bangladesh?

Ecommerce SEO commonly costs ৳40,000–৳1,50,000+ per month. It requires category and collection mapping, product and review schema, faceted-navigation controls, canonical and indexation strategy, content, links and measurement across many URLs.

Why is SEO cheaper in Bangladesh than in the US?

The largest difference is the cost of experienced labour. Providers may use the same Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, Semrush and Screaming Frog workflows, but salary, overhead and market rates are lower in Bangladesh. Quality still varies, so evaluate evidence and scope—not geography alone.

How long does SEO take to produce results?

Technical improvements can appear within 2–8 weeks, meaningful rankings and traffic usually take 3–6 months, and dependable ROI often takes 6–12 months. New domains, difficult industries and international campaigns generally take longer.

How much do AEO and GEO services cost?

A focused Bangladesh add-on may cost ৳10,000–৳30,000 per month, while international programmes can cost substantially more. The scope should specify entity work, structured answers, schema, source development and tracking across AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini.

Should I pay for SEO per keyword?

Usually no. Per-keyword pricing encourages easy or low-value targets and does not reflect sitewide technical, content and authority work. Pay for a defined scope and evaluate organic visibility, qualified leads, revenue and assisted conversions.
