(NewsNation) — More than 40 canines and 15 rescuers are caught in Kyiv, Ukraine amid the Russian invasion. Some animal lovers within the nation don’t wish to go away behind any deserted canines so a rescue workforce, part of the worldwide canine rescue group, Transform A Street Dog, is taking up the duty of getting the canines to security.
“We did have a problem with stray animals in Ukraine, but now the number of abandoned pets have increased,” Katya Kurletz mentioned on “Morning in America.”
She says the group rescues deserted pets from the streets and even properties and flats. She mentioned they assist reunite misplaced canines and supply shelter for the deserted ones.
“This situation is that people are afraid to leave their houses because they know that Russians make no difference between military and civilians so it’s very dangerous outside,” Kurletz mentioned.

Kurletz mentioned the group is working with European companies for pet evacuation help. Currently, the group is paying native drivers to take pets to the border, however extra help is required.
